1. Chief Justice of the High Court takes oath to the Governor.
2. Justice A.K Sikri served as a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and was recently appointed as a Judge in the Singapore International Commercial Court.
3. Munshi Premchand, the author of the famous book Gedan, was born on July 31, 1880 in the village of Lami near Varanasi.
